TTPLP 002. Dreadzone. Performance ‎(LP, W/Lbl). Definately my most precious Dreadzone album. Although the sounds quality is not top notch (recorded live on a cassette tape), this set stuns the listener with the purest form of the trancy, tribal ethno beauty Dreadzone is known for. It's far darker than their studio work (tracklist is mostly based on '360°'), bass and drum driven, accompanied by wide floating synths, and this really takes me deep every time I listen to it.

360°, also known as Dread Zone. 360° is the first album by the British band Dreadzone. It was released in 1993 on Creation Records and set forth the combination of dub, trance, electro and sampling for which Dreadzone was to become well-known. Although unsuccessful in the charts, the album attracted the attention of John Peel, who gave it significant airplay.

Dreadzone are a British electronic music group. They have released eight studio albums, two live albums, and one compilation. Dreadzone was formed in London, England in 1993 when ex-Big Audio Dynamite drummer Greg Roberts teamed up with Tim Bran, who had previously worked as a musician and sound engineer for Julian Cope and who has done production work for artists including London Grammar, Birdy, and the Dutch duo HAEVN.

We talk to Dreadzone ahead of their Off the Tracks Festival performance about their new album, 20 years together and teaming up with the legend that is Mick Jones for their next single. Dreadzone are about to release Escapades, their seventh studio album, and it contains a cameo from ex Clash and BAD man Mick Jones, on the single Too Late (out September 7). Amid a run of festival dates, including Off The Tracks on Saturday August 31, Greg Dread told LTW how it feels for the band to have reached 20 years.
