On the Radio: Greatest Hits Volumes I & II is a double compilation album released by Donna Summer on October 15, 1979. It was her fourth consecutive double album, and also made her the first person ever to take three consecutive double albums to the Number One spot on the . This would become Summer's third multi-platinum album to date. Despite being a double album, a number of Summer's Billboard Hot 100 hits were left off On the Radio; "Could It Be Magic" from A Love Trilogy, "Spring Affair" and "Winter Melody" from Four Seasons of Love, and "Rumour Has It" from Once Upon a Time. In some territories, such as Canada and France, the compilation was also marketed (for a limited time) as two separate discs, "Greatest Hits Volume 1" and "Greatest Hits Volume 2", with the same track listing as each individual disc in the original double LP.

On the Radio" is a song by American singer and songwriter Donna Summer, produced by Italian musician Giorgio Moroder, and released in late-1979 on the Casablanca record label. It was written for the soundtrack to the film Foxes and included on Summer's first international compilation album On the Radio: Greatest Hits Volumes I & II. It was released as a single and became, in February 1980, her tenth top-ten hit in the . as well as her eighth and final consecutive top 5 single. The song was released in three formats: the radio 45rpm single; the 5+ minute version included on Summer's Greatest Hits double album package, and a DJ Promo 7+ minute version released on 12" single (and included on the Foxes film soundtrack album). This last version was later released on the Bad Girls CD digipack double CD release.

Donna Summer-On the Radio (Greatest Hits, Vols. What a cracking CD. I had this album years ago back in my disco days. A lot of the tracks are timeless and can still be heard on Radio Heart today. What really makes this CD so special though is the way that some of the tracks have been mixed together by Giorgio Moroder and Harold Faltemayer; especially Hot Stuff/Bad Girls.
