Back in the 50s-60's, Shuman and Doc Pomus were successful songwriters along with their Brill Building colleages. But, this album contains the most recent work of Shuman. A small together band, led by keyboardist Rod Argent leads the way. Suman,s lyrics are quite poetic paeans to lost love and his singing is pleasant a la Cat Steven's sound of years gone by.
