No-Man entered the 21st century with an album which, like most of their luscious, languid work, sounds like it could be from any time in their three decades of existence. It’s been a rather unconventional, slow-burning journey, with Steven Wilson now a prog pop best seller and Tim Bowness making slyly delicious meta-albums.

CD - Gonzo Distribution Lt. United States of Distribution. The fourth No-Man album proper shows that the duo doesn't simply continue its quality into another decade, but continues its bent for exploration. If not focused on beats and loops this time around, in terms of taking the signifiers of "mature" music - string accompaniment, delicacy, understatement, and more - and giving them life and real meaning, No-Man hits another indisputable high with Returning Jesus

This is still one of the best albums that Steven Wilson has ever made in my opinion. Varied, experimental, evocative and beautiful. This is art pop at it's finest.
