Nightbirds is a french duo founded in 1985 by twin brothers who are interested in new electronic music. At the very beginning, the original idea was to release an album late in 1985 with the few instruments they had. So Came their first self-produced album "Géode". After some years, Nightbirds presented their project live in 1993, at the "Electronic Waves" festival in Paris (France). After this performance, the band studied electronic music instruments and mastering techniques.

Birds of Fire is the second studio album by American jazz fusion band the Mahavishnu Orchestra. It was released on January 3, 1973 by Columbia Records and is the last studio album released by the original band line-up before it dissolved. As with the group's previous album, The Inner Mounting Flame, Birds of Fire consists solely of compositions by John McLaughlin. These include the track "Miles Beyond (Miles Davis)", which McLaughlin dedicated to his friend and former bandleader.
On their fourth album, Nightbirds, Labelle looked the future in the face and put out a call - who’s coming along for the ride? With Patti LaBelle’s strident, nasal bellow in the lead, the band had always dealt in sassy, loose-limbed structures; the three women’s voices rolled over one another in waves. On Nightbirds, producer Allen Toussaint modernized this ferocious free-for-all with an almost mechanical underpinning of robot funk and juke-joint piano janglings. Lady Marmalade bursts off the first side with monstrous power. The band broke loose from the decorous girl-group tradition on Nightbirds and redefined sexual relations using the terms of R&B and its debt to gospel as metaphors for a larger cultural move. Somebody Somewhere confronts female indecision, hints that God might be the answer, but finds salvation in the arrangement - blaring horns and a New Orleans strut.
Nightbirds is an album by the all-female singing group Labelle, released in 1974 on the Epic label. Notable for their biggest hit, the number-one song, "Lady Marmalade", it became the group's most successful album to date.
