Album Blues n' Brown. Trouble Blues Lyrics. So many days since you went away I often think of you night and day But I know that someday, someday darling I won't be trouble no more. Trouble, trouble and misery Is about to get the best of me But I know that someday, oh someday darling I won't be trouble no more. I told you my story, I sang my song About you leaving baby, you know that's wrong But oh, someday, someday darling I won't be trouble no more. Trouble Blues" Track Info. Blues n' Brown Charles Brown.
Tony Russell "Charles" Brown (September 13, 1922 – January 21, 1999) was an American blues singer and pianist whose soft-toned, slow-paced blues-club style influenced blues performance in the 1940s and 1950s. He had several hit recordings, including "Driftin' Blues" and "Merry Christmas Baby". Brown was born in Texas City, Texas. As a child he loved music and received classical music training on the piano.
Recorded in 1971, BLUES N' BROWN was initially produced by Maxwell Davis, who produced many of Charles Brown's big-selling Aladdin releases in the '50s. Though Davis died before the project was completed, the album still possesses all the warmth and ease associated with the pair's earlier collaborations. Brown, in fine voice as always, wraps his tonsils around 10 tunes, eight of which he either wrote or co-wrote.

Labeled as a blues singer, pianist Charles Brown walks the line between jazz, blues and a long lost genre, popular music. Born in 1922 and classically trained on the ivories, Brown began singing during wartime and was often compared to Nat King Cole. During the forties and fifties, singing R&B didn’t mean rap nor did it imply electric vamp. Brown was a stylist and cool ballad practitioner. This re-release of a 1992 Muse date again blurs the line between blues and jazz. Of popular singers today that were influenced by Brown, Ray Charles comes to mind. Both men defy categorization, are both known for their distinctive voices, and have a deft touch at the keyboard. Take Brown’s solo rendition of Thelonious Monk’s ’Round Midnight. Brown’s playing, like Monk himself, recalls the piano tradition from stride to a blues-bop.
